Meet Ryan Brown

Why I Started This Site

I’m a college student here in Utah with a deep love for the outdoors, and one thing that’s always bothered me is how biased a lot of product reviews can be. So I set out to build a site people can actually trust when they’re deciding what to buy. My main focus is the technical side of gear, but I also cover mountain biking, snowboarding, travel, and camping as I explore Southern Utah.

My Journey

Education: I’m currently a business marketing student at Utah Tech University. If you want to see more of my background, find me on LinkedIn.

Snowboarding: My favorite activity is snowboarding, and I’ve ridden all over the West Coast. I tend toward backcountry terrain, but I’ve been getting into park riding more recently.

Camping: The crackle of a campfire and the whisper of wind through pine trees. I thrive on nights spent under the stars, surrounded by nature’s own soundtrack.

Travel: I love traveling whenever I get the opportunity. My goal is always to find the best value for the money while I’m on the road.

Mountain Biking: I’ve mountain biked all over the West Coast, and I’m currently exploring everything Southern Utah has to offer.

Why the Psychocandy is my daily companion on the slopes, and what makes it hold up across such a range of conditions.

Hiking the chains on Angels Landing in Zion National Park

From Angels Landing to Snow Canyon, the hikes, rides, and campsites I keep coming back to around St. George.

Slickrock and singletrack along the Wire Mesa trail near St. George, Utah

A trailhead that delivers on both fronts: technical, flowy singletrack and free BLM camping right nearby.

Seven years of hard riding in, why this trail bike is still the one I compare every other bike against.
